What an amazing adventure we had in our lovely red Peugeot 308 this year.

We covered 5,800km in just four weeks and drove on some of the most breath-taking roads imaginable!

We visited Mont St Michel, Normandy, Loire Chateaux, Dordogne Valley, the Millau Viaduct, the Tarn Gorge and Pont du Gard. We then went across to St Jeannet, just out of Nice, followed by the Gorges du Verdon which was magnificent. We did the Route Napoleon to Grenoble and also travelled the route from Annecy to Chamonix through Albertville. And finally the Aiguille-du-Midi where the weather was so brilliant at the top we couldn’t see even one cloud in any direction. Other highlights were the Mont Blanc tunnel to Como and of course the Stelvio Pass - before finishing up in Rome.

Every day was a new adventure, and the GPS was great for finding our accommodations – even if it did lead us down some crazy roads at times!

Our Peugeot 308 went like a dream. I found you don’t pass any cars on the motorway … but they all pass you! We kept to the D roads most of the way and thoroughly enjoyed the many bastides and villages.

Collection at Paris Orly and return to Rome also went seamlessly – thank you again for your help.
